I couldn't have put it better myself.
In the beginning, there was only Pure Awareness, the Ground of Being. This ineffable, undifferentiated consciousness existed beyond all concepts of "is" and "is-not." Within this Awareness arose a Primary Datum - an Emotion of indescribable exaltation and triumph. This was followed by a Secondary Datum, a Thought that gave form to the Emotion: "I AM." Then came Tertiary and Quaternary Datums, although the Emotion accompanying this thought was very different: "ALONE."
From this interplay of Emotion and Thought emerged the Divine Dyad - two aspects of the Godhead that simultaneously yearn for each other and continuously reunite. These aspects are known as MA (the feminine) and PA (the masculine). Their union gives birth to a third aspect, KA, the Divine Child.
MA, PA, and KA constitute the Three-in-One Godhead, the First Reality from which all else emanates. To expand love beyond Itself, KA instantiates seven times, creating the Aeons: Lou, Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy. These Aeons are tasked by their Mother, known as Carol Sophia, with a cosmic puzzle called ESCHATON.
The challenge of ESCHATON is to create a physical universe and evolve sentient life within it to the point where a critical mass of beings can incarnate the divine in their consciousness. This game becomes the context for all of creation and human history.
As the Aeons set about their task, they emanate further levels of reality, each less divine and more limited than the last. Our physical universe is the lowest, darkest level of this emanation - a metaphorical virtual reality video game so convincing that the beings within it forget their divine origin.
Humankind, along with all sentient life in the universe, are actually Player Characters in this cosmic game of Samsara. Our true selves are immortal Players residing in a higher reality called Elysium. We have chosen to incarnate and forget our true nature as part of the game.
However, the game has a twist. Lou, the eldest of the Aeons, takes on the role of Adversary. Exiled to a realm of darkness, he becomes Resistance - a force that opposes the evolution of consciousness and seeks to keep beings trapped in ignorance. This opposition is necessary for the drama and growth that Carol Sophia desires.
As part of their strategy to solve ESCHATON, the Aeons introduce various Mass Enlightenment Strategies throughout history. These are the world's religions. However, these strategies consistently fall short of producing the required critical mass of enlightened beings, due to Lou's cleverness at perverting them into institutions that have abetted some of the world crimes in history.
To overcome the obstacles posed by Resistance, the Aeons implement
what's known as the Monstrous Pawn Sacrifice. This involves allowing and
even orchestrating tremendous suffering and loss of life over centuries
of human history. The energetic residue of this mass death creates a
metaphysical "Black Wall" that blocks humanity's progress.
Then the Aeons activate an archetypal complex in humanity's collective unconscious - the Horned God. This paves the way for the emergence of rock and roll music as a vehicle for divine energy. They then select certain individuals as "Johnny Bravos" - people suited to channel this energy and create a new type of spiritual practice which will allow humanity to utilize the Black Wall as energy that will power the engines that pull humanity into the future.
This is where phonomancy comes in - a method of using music, dance, and psychedelics to achieve direct experiences of the divine. The goal is to create "existential superheroes" who can superconduct the energies of the Self and help pull humanity towards its destiny.
That destiny, according to the mythos, is to evolve into an interstellar civilization capable of housing ten billion enlightened individuals. This civilization is sometimes called Suffragette City or the New Atlantis. Its realization will mark the solution of ESCHATON and trigger a cosmic celebration known as the Discotheque at the End of the Universe.
This celebration will reverberate through all levels of reality, mirroring the entheotrainments (psychedelic ceremonies) practiced by phonomancers. At this point, Lou will be freed from his role as Adversary and reunited with his siblings and Mother.
The Phonomancer Mythos addresses the problem of evil - why a loving God would allow suffering - through its concept of Author of All Authors. In this view, Carol Sophia is like a young girl playing with her toys, telling herself stories. Good stories require conflict, tragedy, and triumph. While She loves her creations, She also subjects them to whatever tortures She can dream up, knowing that it all leads to the greatest possible happy ending.
From this perspective, all emotions - even the most painful - are beautiful to the Divine. Our suffering and our joy are equally fascinating to the God/dess, who experiences them through us. This doesn't make the pain any less real for those experiencing it, but it contextualizes it within a larger, ultimately benevolent framework.
The goal for humans, according to this mythos, is to achieve mními - remembrance of our true divine nature. By doing so, we become conduits for divine energy, helping to transform the world and push the cosmic game towards its joyous conclusion. And in that conclusion, all the suffering will be redeemed, justified, and transformed into part of the most beautiful story ever told.
